About the role
SAIC is seeking a Finance Director to support the Vice President and Operations Manager within SAIC's Navy’s Business Unit. The ideal candidate will work closely with all functional organizations, demonstrating sharp financial acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for dynamic leadership and team building. This role requires a bias for action, solution-oriented thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively both horizontally and vertically within the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day internal business and financial functions of a dynamic $400M operation, including implementing long-range financial goals and objectives.
- Oversee Program Control Managers and program control staff, ensuring compliance with program control and company policies and procedures.
- Manage quarterly forecasting, period close reporting, and detailed variance analysis to aid in operational management.
- Prepare and distribute financial information and analysis within required deadlines, ensuring clarity and relevance for executive, operational, and program-level leadership.
- Support the Business Development team on large capture and proposal efforts to ensure new business deals are financially sound and accretive to the portfolio.
- Facilitate effective communications and relationships with line and functional departments, interpreting policy and guidance for stakeholders.
- Assign staff, manage budgets, and set priorities for Operation Program Control and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new business process concepts and techniques.
- Interact regularly with functional peer groups (Contracts, Procurement, HR, Compliance, etc.) and senior management to gain cooperation.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and develop process improvements for current policies and procedures.
- Assist with complex proposal development, contract negotiations, and administration of contracting activities using sound business judgment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting with 15+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Knowledge of federal government contracting in a Professional Services environment.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Polished communicator with experience developing others and creating strong teams.
Desired Skills
- Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Experience using Deltek Costpoint, Oracle EPM, Hyperion, and PowerBI.
Pay
Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
