Job Summary
The Finance Director will support a newly acquired business at Modaxo. This position is a hybrid role with 50% of the time being spent at the Columbia Maryland office.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's long-term objectives.
- Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant financial legislation.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
- Oversee the company's financial risk management framework, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support business decisions and growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership level position.
- Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations for a growing company.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial software (Netsuite) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in the technology sector is an asset.
- Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment.
