Job Summary

The Finance Director will support a newly acquired business at Modaxo. This position is a hybrid role with 50% of the time being spent at the Columbia Maryland office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's long-term objectives.
  • Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other relevant financial legislation.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial institutions.
  • Oversee the company's financial risk management framework, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support business decisions and growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and controls.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership level position.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations for a growing company.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Netsuite) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in the technology sector is an asset.
  • Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment.
