Finance Consultant
This role requires candidates who are currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. C2C arrangements are not accepted. The position is onsite in Irvine, CA.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Consultant to provide corporate finance support with a primary focus on board reporting, earnings materials, financial modeling, and executive-level presentations. This position will support a lean, high-performing finance organization during a period of increased workload. The ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel modeling skills, strong PowerPoint capabilities, and experience preparing financial materials for senior executives and board-level audiences. The role is primarily execution-focused, with the opportunity to support strategic finance and ad hoc financial modeling initiatives based on experience and performance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update board presentation materials using established PowerPoint templates.
- Develop and maintain executive-level financial presentations and earnings-related materials.
- Refresh and maintain existing Excel models and financial reporting templates.
- Prepare weekly competitive intelligence and financial analysis updates.
- Support financial information and analysis used in board and executive discussions.
- Maintain accurate, clearly formatted, and executive-ready financial models and reports.
- Work across corporate and strategic finance functions as business needs require.
- Respond quickly to changing priorities and executive requests.
- Support ad hoc scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and financial analysis as needed.
- Partner with senior finance leadership on high-priority initiatives and deliverables.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, M&A, or a related financial discipline.
- Advanced Excel skills with exceptional financial modeling capabilities.
- Strong understanding of three-statement financial modeling.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and updating complex financial models.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and experience preparing executive or board-level presentations.
- Ability to work efficiently within established financial and presentation templates.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior finance leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manager- or Director-level corporate finance experience.
- Experience working within a publicly traded company.
- Familiarity with SEC reporting, earnings cycles, and public-company reporting deadlines.
- Previous investment banking, M&A, or transaction-related experience.
- Experience with complex financial models, including three-statement models and transaction models.
- Experience preparing board reporting packages or earnings-support materials.
- Experience supporting ad hoc scenario modeling and strategic financial analysis.
