Finance Clerk

About the role

The position is located in downtown Portland and supports Health Department Medical Clinics and Communicable Diseases/Environmental Health programs. The tentative schedule is day shift Monday thru Friday.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing on human specimens – primarily in the areas of Hematology and Microbiology.
• Comfortable with testing for pathogenic agents in the event of natural or man-made disaster.

Requirements

• A current MT certification (ASCP or equivalent).

Qualifications

No experience is required. One year of professional-level laboratory experience is desirable. Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in biology, microbiology or medical technology or a related field. License: Certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent.
