About the role

This is an exciting role at the core of a highly entrepreneurial, well-established, forward-thinking, commercial construction business based in New York. This opportunity is Retained and Exclusive to Michael Page. You will not find it elsewhere.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with operational, commercial, and functional leadership teams to support strategic and financial decision making.
  • Providing analysis and insights on business performance, financial results, and emerging trends.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long range planning processes.
  • Delivering monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and management commentary.
  • Serving as a sounding board for operational and commercial reporting that drives actionable outcomes.
  • Identifying opportunities for margin improvement, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.
  • Conducting regular P&L reviews and performance discussions with regional stakeholders.
  • Developing financial models, investment evaluations, and business cases for strategic initiatives.
  • Maintaining oversight of key financial and operational KPIs while highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Translating complex financial data into clear recommendations for non-finance audiences.
  • Driving a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and financial rigor throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in financial analysis, FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles
  • Exposure to project-based, construction, engineering, consulting, professional services, or similar industries preferred
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and performance management experience
  • Commercially minded with strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence decision-making and challenge constructively
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-growth, evolving environment

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial analysis, FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles
  • Exposure to project-based, construction, engineering, consulting, professional services, or similar industries preferred
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and performance management experience
  • Commercially minded with strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence decision-making and challenge constructively

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package

Pay

$160,000 to $180,000 base salary with a performance-related bonus scheme (target bonus 20%)

Schedule

3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote
