Finance Business Partner
The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking to recruit two permanent Finance Business Partners to join our senior Finance Team. These are exciting opportunities to play a key role in shaping strategic decision-making, driving financial sustainability, and supporting the delivery of high-quality health and care services across Scotland.
About the role
As a national frontline service, the Scottish Ambulance Service provides Emergency, Special Operations, ScotSTAR (including Air Ambulance), Patient Transport, and Flow Navigation services to communities across Scotland. The Service operates in a complex and rapidly evolving environment and is at the forefront of many national transformation and modernization programs.
Working closely with Directors, senior managers, clinicians, and national stakeholders, Finance Business Partners provide strategic financial leadership, challenge, and support across a diverse portfolio of operational and corporate services. The roles are integral to supporting financial planning, service transformation, efficiency programs, and major investment decisions.
Responsibilities
- Influence strategic and operational decision-making at senior levels of the organization.
- Support nationally significant programs of work and service transformation initiatives.
- Lead the development of innovative financial solutions that maximize value and support financial sustainability.
- Utilize modern business intelligence, reporting, and analytical tools, including Microsoft Power BI, to generate insight and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across SAS, NHS Scotland, Scottish Government, and partner organizations.
- Contribute to the continuous development of a modern, forward-looking finance function.
