About the role

The successful candidate will provide financial support and advice to key stakeholders within the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS).

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with NIFRS objectives
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management
• Manage financial risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource allocation

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant
• Membership with a relevant professional body
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Accounting or related field
• Experience in public sector finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in financial software and tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
