About the Opportunity

The Finance Business Analyst supports accounting and finance operations by improving financial workflows, reporting processes, and business systems. This role collaborates with Accounting, Finance, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to improve processes, maintain data quality, and support system and operational initiatives. The position contributes to greater efficiency and accuracy by identifying process improvements, resolving operational issues, and facilitating effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare financial, operational, and performance reports to support accounting operations and business decision-making.
  • Evaluate accounting workflows, journal entry processes, reconciliations, and reporting activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders on business process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support finance and accounting projects through tracking, communication, documentation, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, business process validation, and data review for system changes and enhancements.
  • Maintain process documentation, procedures, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
  • Research operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that improve processes and user experience.
  • Assist with gathering business requirements and evaluating technology, workflow, and process redesign opportunities.
  • Support data quality and reporting initiatives to improve the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
  • Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with accounting, finance, IT, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial data, reporting, and documentation.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective process or system improvements.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Hourly compensation range: $26.41–$44.10. Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and the applicable compensation model.
