Finance Business Analyst

About the role

Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for its Finance team to work with NBT teammates and other partners to align, optimize, and deliver a fully functional ERP/MES solution to Nucor's Sheet, Plate and Structural Mills.

Responsibilities

• Understand month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and conducting financial analyses to help support the divisions
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identify and resolve reconciling items, and collaborate with divisions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
• Maintain a strong understanding of General Ledger accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Support division internal and external audits by assisting with audit requests, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close and GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or CMA
• Public or corporate accounting experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Oracle EBS and/or PSI
• Relocation to the Dallas area
