Finance Associate Attorney (San Francisco)

About the role

The Finance Practice Group at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP seeks an associate with 2–4 years of experience to join their team in San Francisco. This role offers direct client contact, meaningful business development opportunities, and exceptional training and career development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and executing commercial finance transactions
• Managing closing checklists and coordinating closing deliverables
• Conducting diligence and summarizing findings
• Drafting and assembling ancillary closing documentation
• Drafting and negotiating credit agreements and related closing documentation
• Experience with receivables financings, structured finance, real estate, or securitization is a plus

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 2–4 years of experience working on varied commercial finance transactions

Qualifications

• Admitted to and a member in good standing of the California bar

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
