GXM Technologies is seeking a highly organized and analytical junior Finance and Business Operations Analyst to support both the company's day-to-day operations and strategic growth initiatives. This position is divided between Special Projects Team activities and Support Team functions, serving as a cross-functional resource across finance, accounting, human resources, recruiting, proposal development, business development, government liaison, contract analysis, and company operations. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Arlington, Virginia, offering a flexible work arrangement that combines remote work with regular in-office collaboration. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze information, improve processes, and support leadership through both recurring operational responsibilities and high-impact strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Special Projects Team

  • Monitor multiple government contract vehicles, including IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs, and agency-specific procurement portals, to identify new task order opportunities aligned with company capabilities and strategic objectives.
  • Perform initial opportunity assessments by reviewing solicitation notices, analyzing scope and requirements, and recommending opportunities for leadership review while filtering out non-strategic opportunities.
  • Maintain opportunity tracking tools, monitor solicitation amendments and proposal deadlines, and communicate key developments to internal stakeholders.
  • Support proposal development activities, including solicitation review, compliance analysis, document preparation, proposal coordination, pricing support, quality reviews, and final proposal submission.
  • Conduct market research, labor market analysis, compensation benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and other business analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with contract startup planning, operational readiness activities, special projects, and other strategic initiatives that support company growth and operational excellence.

Support Team Functions

  • Support daily finance and accounting operations, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, payroll processing support, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable activities, and other accounting functions.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, labor reporting, indirect cost tracking, and preparation of reports for company leadership.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, resume screening, applicant tracking, interview coordination, offer administration, and candidate communications.
  • Support human resources administration, including employee records management, training coordination, policy implementation, and HR compliance activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other business documentation for leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide operational, administrative, and analytical support to executives and cross-functional teams as needed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all government security requirements, including fingerprinting and security clearance processing beginning on the first day of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Project Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, business operations, project coordination or management, government contracting, or a related field; relevant internships or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and employee information.
  • Experience using AI solutions/tools with controlled/sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal government contracting, professional services, or consulting organizations.
  • Familiarity with proposal development, business operations, or project coordination.
  • Experience with accounting, payroll, HRIS, ATS, or business management systems.
  • Familiarity with federal procurement concepts or contract vehicles.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or executive presentations.

Pay

$65,000 - $90,000 salary + annual bonus eligibility
