About the Role

Fastly is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Systems Analyst to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on supporting and enhancing our Billing Systems and the broader Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Billing Operations, Finance, and Business Systems teams to ensure the seamless management of Contracts, Orders, Billing, and Invoicing processes across both subscription and usage-based revenue models. This role demands a strong analytical mindset, a thorough understanding of Lead-to-Cash processes, and hands-on experience with data querying and reporting tools. The Finance Systems Analyst will be instrumental in troubleshooting business issues, analyzing complex data sets, optimizing operational workflows, and supporting system improvements and projects within the O2C ecosystem. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with approximately 5-7 years of experience operating at the intersection of finance operations, systems, and data analysis to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for billing and invoicing systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices
• Troubleshoot and resolve billing and invoicing issues across various billing models
• Collaborate with billing operations to address discrepancies related to contracts, pricing, and usage
• Investigate and resolve data issues affecting billing accuracy and operational workflows
• Support the entire Order-to-Cash lifecycle, including contracts, orders, billing, and revenue flow
• Assist in resolving issues across Billing Operations, Finance, and Business Systems teams
• Analyze system workflows to identify opportunities for process improvements and data quality enhancements
• Conduct root cause analysis on billing discrepancies and operational challenges
• Participate in system enhancements, projects, and automation initiatives to optimize O2C processes

Qualifications

• Approximately 5-7 years of experience in Finance Systems, Business Systems, Billing Operations, or Order-to-Cash functions
• Strong understanding of Lead-to-Cash processes including Opportunity, Quote, Contracts, Orders, Billing, and Invoicing
• Experience with both subscription and usage-based billing models
• Proficiency in querying and analyzing data using BigQuery, SQL, or similar platforms
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• Experience with Google Workspace tools such as Sheets and Docs
• Preferred: Experience with NetSuite ERP, LogiSense, Zuora, Aria, Salesforce, Looker, or other BI tools
• Exposure to system integrations, automation, or API-driven workflows
• Interest in leveraging AI and automation to enhance business and operational processes
