Finance & Accounting Intern / Volunteer

About the role

Find Community Connection Project (FCCP) is seeking motivated students and emerging professionals interested in accounting, finance, economics, business, or related fields to support the nonprofit’s financial operations. This unpaid intern/volunteer position provides hands‑on experience managing real nonprofit financial records and systems while building professional skills. Participation is required in‑person.

Responsibilities

• Maintain balance sheets and financial spreadsheets
• Track expenses and payments
• Organize receipts and financial records
• Track and reconcile budgets
• Prepare financial reports and internal finance documents
• Document grant and funding application financial information
• Maintain accurate finance files and trackers

Requirements

• Student or recent graduate studying accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
• Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented
• Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity that offers practical experience in nonprofit accounting, budgeting, financial management, and grant‑related finance while supporting FCCP’s mission of youth empowerment, professional development, financial literacy, and community impact.
