Responsibilities
- Assemble products with blueprints and manuals while ensuring all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product and conform to customer specifications.
- Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functionality, capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
- Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.
- Read and interpret assembly blueprints and specification manuals.
- Plan assembly and building operations.
- Verify conformance of parts to stock lists or blueprints using calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
- Fasten or install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies using hand tools, rivet guns, or welding equipment.
- Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts using power tools.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and position equipment and parts.
- Maintain both equipment and the facility to ensure optimum working conditions.
- Inspect outsourced products in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of machine and tool designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with hydraulics and the installation of hydraulic components.
- Experience with basic electrical wiring.
- Able to conduct testing and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting.
- High level of mechanical ability.
