Filler Seamer Operator EM: (Can Line 1) Wed 11pm-5am Thurs-Sat 5pm-5am

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Runs machine and makes changeovers per scheduling
• Verifies the pouches or lids staged conform to the batch sheet and feeds lids or pouches to the seamer
• Maintains and records pouch or can information
• Inspects QC inspector samples for seam tear down and records results
• Ensures proper product amounts and makes adjustments to can or pouch weights as instructed
• Keeps the area clean during downtime and changeover events
• Performs weekly sanitation tasks
• Participates as a member of the team
• Collaborates with team members to implement and communicate new concepts, programs, and policies
• Identifies and addresses cohesion issues within the team and works towards achieving organizational synergy

• Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies)
• Responsibility to maintain familiarity with systems and understand the role in supporting these systems
• Consideration of individual actions' impact on systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas

Technical Experience

• Experience within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Background in manufacturing

Minimum Education

• Basic math skills
• Reading, writing, computer knowledge
• Good communication skills in English
