Filler Seamer Operator EM: (Can Line 1) Wed 11pm-5am Thurs-Sat 5pm-5am

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Runs machine and makes changeovers per scheduling
• Verifies the pouches or lids staged conform to the batch sheet and feeds lids or pouches to the seamer
• Maintains monitoring and recording of pouch or can information
• Inspects QC inspector samples for seam tear down, monitors, and records
• Ensures proper product amounts and makes adjustments to can or pouch weights as instructed
• Keeps the area clean during downtime and changeover events
• Performs weekly sanitation tasks
• Participates as a member of the team
• Engages in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies
• Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members
• Identifies and addresses areas lacking cohesion within the team
• Works collaboratively with the team to resolve issues and foster synergy within the organization

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Simmons’ operating systems and responsibilities
• Basic math skills, reading, writing, and computer knowledge
• Good communication skills in English
• Experience within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
• Background in manufacturing
