Filler Operator I

About the role

Bringing our love of food to families for five generations, Blount Fine Foods is a family-owned and operated manufacturer, marketer, and developer of premium fresh prepared foods. We create restaurant-quality products including single-serve grab-n-go fresh soups, mac & cheese, and entrées for grocery stores, hot bars, and restaurants across the country. Our products include specialty certifications such as organic, gluten-free, and low sodium.

This position is 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipe and HACCP steps to ensure correct completion of all recipes to pre-determined standards.
• Communicate effectively within the department to ensure efficient and productive processing.
• Perform final in-line work and take responsibility for all recipes being produced.
• Learn, operate, and adjust multiple in-line pieces of processing equipment, including large volume kettles, chiller machines, and filler machines.
• Multitask multiple recipes and steps simultaneously while maintaining an organized and clean workspace.
• Lift 25 lbs repeatedly in a hot and humid environment while following all safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• 1 year of prior machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

Pay

$20.00 to $20.50 per hour.
