About the role
The Filings Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling AXIS business units to bring products to market and write profitable business by preparing, submitting, and negotiating state rate, rule, and form filings. This role collaborates across the organization to ensure filings meet regulatory requirements and business timelines, fostering strong relationships with state regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance rate and form filings for our products to state regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate necessary information for assigned filings and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the filing process, assign insurance department objections/comments to the appropriate stakeholder for handling, and respond to objections within the State Rate and Form Filing unit.
- Maintain oversight of assigned filing projects, monitor deadlines on objection/comment responses, and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding assigned filing projects, ensuring timely updates and addressing any issues promptly.
- Provide opinions on filing projects, including format, timing, and approaches, and when applicable, partner with external vendors to facilitate the preparation or submission of rate or form filings.
- Process SERFF EFT and other internal reports as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in submitting rate and form filings for an insurance company to state regulatory authorities.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and ability to operate with minimal direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively to meet established deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience with SERFF.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in insurance, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
- Experience in using IRFS, FilingRamp, or other insurance rate and form submission applications.

$60,000 - $85,000 base salary, with target incentive compensation and a range of additional benefits.
