File Clerk
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and legal correspondence.
- Maintain and organize both physical and electronic case files.
- Review, track, and update case information within case management systems and Excel spreadsheets.
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, document preparation, and file maintenance.
- Support daily operations across both office and mailroom functions.
- Ensure accuracy, organization, and quality while managing a high volume of documents.
- Cross-train in various departmental processes and assist with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative or office support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Experience maintaining records, filing systems, or document management systems.
- Dependable attendance and a demonstrated commitment to quality work.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a legal environment, particularly immigration law.
- Background in mailroom operations, records management, or file clerk responsibilities.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.
- Interest in expanding responsibilities and pursuing future leadership opportunities.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Employees will work within both office and mailroom settings, supporting a busy immigration law team that manages a large volume of case documentation. The organization promotes a professional yet collaborative culture, emphasizing teamwork, respect, and employee engagement. Team lunches, group events, and quarterly outings help foster a positive and supportive workplace. Business casual attire is required, with jeans permitted on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
