Responsibilities & Expectations
- Mobilize and Demobilize Flue Gas Treatment (FGT) and Water Trial Equipment in support of trials at customer sites.
- Aid in trial planning, including determining equipment requirements, positioning at customer sites, and utility requirements.
- Plan equipment mobilization for trials, including cost estimation and tracking, arranging equipment shipping, and liaising with rental providers if necessary.
- Set up equipment for trials at customer sites and ensure compliance with Lhoist and customer safety requirements.
- Operate FGT and Water Trial Equipment, collaborate with customers and other Lhoist NBD and NBD Technical team members, and develop competence in trial instruments/measurement equipment.
- Solve equipment problems during trials and train or supervise contract labor or customer site resources as necessary.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans for all trial equipment, clean and repair equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA and MSHA safety standards.
- Understand and develop the value in use (VIU) of Lhoist North America products for FGT and Water, and gain knowledge of the manufacturing process and competitive products.
- Develop equipment-based solutions to support NBD work and assist the lab team with analytical duties between trials.

- Physically capable of performing trial tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment up to 50 lbs., working in various weather conditions, and working in confined spaces.
- Comfortable with basic arithmetic, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, work overtime, weekends, or shifts as required.

- Ability to work in various environments (office, field, outdoors) as applicable to the role.
- Ability to access all areas within a site, including heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
Required Education
- A high school diploma or GED.
- An associate's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a technical-related field, or equivalent work experience in the field.
- Additional training in trade school or military experience in power production and/or auxiliary equipment maintenance and operation is a plus.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 4 years' experience with air emission control equipment or water treatment equipment.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with air emission control equipment or water treatment equipment in a customer trial setting.
- Previous lead person, team lead, or supervisor experience is a plus.
