This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Training Manager based in the United States. This is a high-impact training and clinical leadership role supporting the adoption of innovative cardiac rhythm management technology across the US. You’ll design and deliver clinical, technical, and soft-skills training for field teams, physicians, and commercial personnel. The role combines hands-on procedural expertise with instructional design, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll support implant procedures, physician education, onboarding, certification, and ongoing competency development while serving as a trusted clinical and technical subject matter expert. You’ll work closely with sales, clinical, medical affairs, marketing, regulatory, quality, and R&D teams to ensure training remains accurate, effective, and compliant. The position offers significant visibility across a fast-growing medical device organization and opportunities to influence product launches, clinical programs, and future education strategies. With approximately 60% travel, this role is ideal for an experienced cardiac device professional who enjoys working directly with clinicians and field teams and wants their expertise to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes. Accountabilities Deliver comprehensive live and remote clinical and technical training programs for internal and external audiences, creating consistently engaging and effective learning experiences.Develop and continuously enhance training curricula, educational materials, certification pathways, and onboarding programs in alignment with the broader global training strategy.Lead onboarding and competency development for new field operations personnel, Field Clinical Specialists, and sales representatives.Conduct knowledge and skills assessments and determine readiness for certification, additional training, or remediation.Provide high-impact physician and field training through in-person procedural case support, virtual education, structured training sessions, and hands-on instruction.Facilitate physician proctoring and live procedural education to promote competency, appropriate technique, and safe adoption of cardiac technology.Serve as a clinical and technical subject matter expert during device implants, follow-up procedures, and clinical investigations.Provide direct procedural supervision, mentorship, and guidance to field personnel to reinforce best practices and established standards.Mentor Field Clinical Specialists and other training personnel to strengthen clinical, technical, and procedural capabilities.Partner with clinical, sales, marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, quality, and R&D teams to ensure consistent product messaging and compliant training content.Support training initiatives associated with new product launches and evolving technologies.Collaborate with training leadership to develop scalable learning resources and structured educational programs.Help plan and execute physician education programs, hands-on cadaver laboratories, animal labs, KOL programs, and other professional education events.Monitor training performance, trainee feedback, and learning metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and demonstrate program effectiveness.Provide field-based insights that can inform product development, clinical trial protocols, and future training strategies.Represent the organization at relevant conferences, workshops, and professional education forums.Travel approximately 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel, to support field activities and educational programs. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant clinical experience.At least 7 years of experience in the medical device industry, specifically within Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Electrophysiology (EP), or a closely related field.Strong experience supporting implantable cardiac device procedures, particularly procedures involving surgical techniques such as EV ICD.Hands-on knowledge of cardiac medical devices, implantation procedures, and cardiac device therapy strategies.Experience managing, mentoring, or providing professional guidance to field team personnel.Demonstrated experience delivering group presentations, clinical education, and hands-on training involving cardiac rhythm management products.Strong instructional design capabilities, including the ability to create and manage multimodal learning experiences such as cadaver labs, animal labs, digital learning, and LMS-based pathways.Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.Strong ability to collaborate across sales, clinical, marketing, regulatory, quality, medical affairs, and R&D functions.Comfortable using training metrics, performance data, and learner feedback to evaluate and improve program effectiveness.Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities and frequent technology launches.Ability to translate complex clinical and technical information into clear, engaging, and practical educational content.Preferred: Experience developing training curricula and implementing structured onboarding and certification programs.Preferred: Experience supporting commercial launches of new or novel implantable cardiac devices, including familiarity with abdominal surgical techniques.Preferred: Familiarity with FDA-regulated training materials and industry-standard medical device education practices.Ability to travel approximately 60%, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as the required visual and manual capabilities for clinical and procedural environments.
