About the role

The Field Training Instructor plays a key role in supporting Renewable Concepts' commitment to safety, technical expertise, and workforce development. This position delivers a blend of classroom and field instruction designed to build the skills, confidence, and safety awareness of both new and experienced employees. The role requires approximately 75% travel, primarily to the Neodesha, KS training facility and various field sites, to ensure consistent, hands-on learning experiences across all teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver approved safety, technical, and skills curriculum in the training facility situated in Neodesha, KS and in the field.
  • Partner with the Safety team to deliver the required safety training to new hires.
  • Partner with HR to present new hire orientation and communicate BPI's safety standards and expectations.
  • Perform active learning lessons for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and safety issues as needed.
  • Ensure organization and reliability across training plans to establish an environment of learning and application.
  • Conduct refresher training for legacy technicians as needed.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management to engage the team in problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previous field experience in wind services
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an extreme focus on integrity and safety
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to climb towers 500' in height on an as-needed basis
  • Must have the ability to catch on to things quickly
  • Must have the mindset to achieve excellence every single time
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction

Qualifications/Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years' experience as a wind turbine technician
  • Computer Skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
