Field Trainer, Diagnostic Support Specialist

Position Summary

A Field Trainer, Support Specialist at A. Duie Pyle will travel to Fleet Maintenance Facilities in the Northeast to provide hands-on, remote, and guided diagnostic training. Responsibilities include:

• Travelling to outlying Fleet Maintenance Facilities to provide maintenance support and required training
• Conducting and surveying training sessions to ensure material retention needs are met
• Creating metrics to measure how the training is retained, utilized, and its impact
• Providing New Hire training on policies, procedures, and fleet maintenance software
• Reviewing daily OOS for complex issues and providing technical assistance
• Reviewing monthly progress on all apprentices and performing final skills tests prior to graduation
• Assisting with shop vacancies, performing special assignments, and providing operations support

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of class 8 tractor and trailer maintenance and DOT/OSHA guidelines
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a fleet maintenance environment
• A compliment of tools required to perform most Class 8 repairs
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in: heavy-duty diagnostic software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• 50% travel time on the road visiting various shops
• Strong written and oral communication skills
