Field Telecommunications Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Field Telecommunications Technician in the Albany, NY area who has a strong desire to resolve technical issues, is flexible, learns quickly, and can work independently while providing support and guidance to our customer base on SONIFI products.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers in your region (no desk – your day is spent in the field)
• Providing support and guidance on SONIFI products
• Communicating thoughtfully and professionally with hospitality customer staff
• Understanding and respecting the boundaries, protocols, and empathy needed in healthcare customer environments
• Using supplied tools: company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and technical support

Qualifications

• Technical degree plus one year of related experience or High School Diploma or GED plus three years’ work experience
• Experience in any of the following: High‑Speed Internet and WIFI, Satellite TV, Digital TV, IPTV, Telecom, RF, CATV, MATV, Head‑end

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving habits (to operate the company vehicle)
• Willingness to travel occasionally outside your assigned region
• Availability for on‑call work, occasional overtime, and weekend work to meet service level agreements
• Flexibility to adapt to changing customer priorities and requests

Pay

Competitive salary based on location, experience, education, specialty, and training; generally starting at $25–$34 per hour.

Schedule

Occasional travel outside your assigned region, on‑call duties, and occasional overtime and weekend work to accommodate service level agreements.
