Field Technician - Northern New York State
About the role
T-Mobile is seeking a motivated and skilled Field Technician to support their Engineering & Operations team across Northern New York. This role covers the Northern New York State region, including Franklin and St. Lawrence counties, as well as communities such as Malone, Potsdam, Canton, and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot network performance issues
- Support outage resolution
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement
- Execute and support key projects
- Accurately track, report, and communicate on projects
- Recommend process improvements
- Assist in developing documentation, job aids, and procedures
- Stay current with evolving technologies, systems, and company standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent relevant field experience
- 2–4 years of experience in field operations, maintenance, or related technical roles
- 2–4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or a related field
- Basic knowledge of electronics and telecommunications systems (RF, fiber, microwave, RAN, 5G NR, Base Station technology, Wireless Backhaul, and/or power systems)
- Experience with Ericsson and/or Nokia RAN equipment preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Project Management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation
- Ability to lift 50–70 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age to operate a company assigned vehicle
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Skills

Benefits
Employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
