Field Technician, Meter Reader - Chester, VA

Responsibilities

• No experience required, paid training.
• Meter Reader Technicians have assigned routes each day.
• The meter reader picks up a handheld device from the local office at the start of the day.
• The handheld device is turned in at the end of the day.
• Work is done using a “mobile office” approach, ensuring variety in daily tasks.
• Technicians work from their personal vehicle, utilizing the handheld devices for services.

Qualifications

• Outdoor experience preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Computer proficient.
• Available to work overtime and some weekends (as needed).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Passes drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Customer/Client Service Experience

Is a plus.

• Full-time/Day-time positions.
• Remote mobile office, equipment provided.
