About the role
Nabors is seeking an experienced field service technician to support the service and maintenance needs of our customers. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Travel to client locations to install new equipment and respond to service requests.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, including troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Train less experienced technicians on company equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and service equipment.
- Provide technical data measurements and documentation.
- Assist in the installation of additional systems and upgrades on new rigs.
- Communicate with Customer Representatives and assist in the sales process.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related experience in mechanical, electrical, drilling systems, or electronics.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
Qualifications
- Understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical training.
- Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
Skills
- Ability to read and understand equipment schematics and drawings.
- Advanced understanding of hydraulic and electrical equipment, functions, and testing.
- Ability to use process meters and micrometers.
- Knowledge of OEM drilling equipment and ability to make repairs.
- Experience with troubleshooting equipment using multi meters, amp probes, meggers, and scopes.
