Field Technician II

Key Duties

• Read and record gas meter data, monitor gauges, and report operational changes.
• Perform start-up procedures, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of engines and compressors.
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate, and replace parts using hand tools and electronic diagnostic devices.
• Cook up scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, respond to emergency service calls.
• Submit accurate reports and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Afford assistance with troubleshooting, equipment testing, and commissioning.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of pneumatic, electric, fuel, cooling, lubrication, and ignition systems.
• Understanding of engine and compressor operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with production equipment like separators and dehydrators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.
• Effective communication and ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• At least 2 years of mechanical experience with engines or similar equipment.
• Experience with modern engines, compressors, and electronic controls is preferred.
