Field Technician Elk City, OK

Full-time position based in Elk City, OK with a Monday to Friday schedule and overtime opportunities. Pay is based on experience and disbursed bi-weekly or twice monthly.

About the role

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain natural gas compressors and related equipment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, correcting equipment deficiencies, making adjustments, and keeping records. Each employee is responsible for conducting job tasks in a safe, healthy, and environmentally prudent manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Communicate openly with management regarding repair and maintenance status.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in both shop and field settings.
• Identify and maintain an inventory of high-use, common maintenance items.
• Control costs of in-house and outsourced maintenance or repairs through warranty and vendor evaluation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and precautions.
• Knowledge of computer/laptop and intermediate knowledge of hand/power tools.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT alcohol and drug screenings.
• Preferred: 1 year of mechanical experience, including compression.
