About the role

T-Mobile is searching for an impactful Field Technician in the Denver area to join us in taking the next big leap forward. You will be a generalist, encompassing aspects of technical support, project management, and operational support while being a responsible teammate. This role supports network operations in the Denver market with a territory centered around Glendale, CO by applying technical knowledge to maintain and improve network performance and reliability. It involves providing technical assistance, managing smaller projects, and contributing to operational process improvements. Success is measured by effective technical support, timely project updates, and identification of process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to resolve network performance issues and contribute to outage resolution efforts
  • Manage smaller projects or project segments, delivering accurate status and progress updates as required
  • Identify and recommend process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities to senior staff and management
  • Assist in developing job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation in collaboration with senior technicians
  • Complete required training to maintain current knowledge of systems, products, and organizational standards
  • Develop yourself through continuous learning, completing training requirements to stay current on existing and new systems and products
  • Other duties/projects as assigned by business management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Vocational/Technical Training or related field (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years working experience in Field Operations and maintenance
  • 2-4 years wireless telecommunications or other related experience
  • Flexible hours, including day and night work, and participation in an on-call rotation for the market (weekends and holidays included)
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and work outside in various weather conditions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-assigned vehicle
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Travel required

Skills

  • Electronics (Required)
  • Basic operational knowledge and theory of interconnecting circuits, including RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, AC-DC power systems, and AI (Required)
  • Radio Access Network (RAN) – Practical knowledge of RAN architecture, components, and operations (Required)
  • Experience with Nokia RAN technology (Preferred)
  • Wireless Backhaul – Understanding of wireless backhaul technologies and configurations (Required)
  • Licensed Microwave and millimeter-wave wireless transport technology – Ceragon experience (Preferred)
  • 5G New Radio (NR) – Demonstrated experience or ability to learn RAN equipment and 5G NR standards (Required)
  • Base Station – Working knowledge of base station equipment, installation, configuration, and maintenance (Required)
  • Disaster Recovery Planning – Familiarity with disaster recovery protocols (Required)
  • Network Troubleshooting – Ability to systematically identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues (Required)
  • Project Management – Ability to plan, coordinate, and complete field assignments efficiently (Required)
  • Technical Support – Ability to provide hands-on technical assistance and field-level support (Required)

  • Computer Fluency – Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and similar productivity tools (Required)

Pay
