Field Technician

About the role

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Our core values of safety and people are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair construction equipment such as generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4, and aftertreatment systems.
• Provide basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.
• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic with a construction equipment or equipment rental background.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4, and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience repairing construction equipment, including generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Must provide your own tools, averaging $10,000+ in value.
• Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and a team-first mindset.
• Stable work history with a commitment to long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail.

Pay

Pay dependent on experience; PAID WEEKLY!

Schedule

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)
