Field Technician

About the role

Radon Be Gone, a Protect Environmental company, is seeking a Field Technician to join the Radon Mitigation team. In this role you will install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, support customers by teaching them how to use their equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all work aligns with company standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post‑installation testing
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and warehouse space
• Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites
• Document job details according to company policy
• Represent Protect Environmental in a professional, customer‑focused manner
• Respond promptly to customer concerns and service needs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance (preferred)
• Ability to work in a field environment, including walking, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment
• Good physical health and ability to perform hands‑on construction work
• Capability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and on roofs
• Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within the required timeline

• Can work independently and follow established procedures
• Dependable, organized, and punctual
• Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders

Pay

Competitive pay starting at $24+ per hour, based on experience.
