Field Technician

About the role

GeoSonics, Inc., an industry leading construction consulting company, specializing in pre-construction home inspections, seismic monitoring and community outreach, is seeking a full-time, entry level Field Technician to join our team at our Raleigh, North Carolina location.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various worksites, such as homes, commercial buildings and other structures to conduct pre/post blast inspections
• Perform on-site and remote seismograph vibration monitoring at mining, quarry and construction operations
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing
• Prepare reports
• Perform general office duties, including technical report writing and proofreading, use of office machines, and computer software, including MS Office
• Provide service and customer support during field visits
• Follow company procedures and protocol
• Build positive relationships with current and potential customers
• Anticipate and act to maintain a safe environment. Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices

Requirements

• Experience using video and digital cameras
• Proficient in computer and technical skills
• Legible handwriting
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to follow instructions and work independently

Qualifications

• Possesses experience or degree in Construction, Geology, Earth Science or related field (preferred but not required)
