This position will monitor, maintain, integrate, install, troubleshoot, and repair AEM environmental products and systems, reporting to the Field Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, integrate, install, troubleshoot, and repair AEM environmental products and systems.
• Troubleshoot various systems via onsite fieldwork or customer phone support.
• Communicate effectively and professionally, both internally and with customers, to ensure work objectives are met and issues resolved in a timely manner.
• Apply data integrity standards to ensure timely entry, accuracy, and consistency of data in any system or digital tool.
• Maintain accurate project documentation to reflect project status.
• Follow defined standard operating practices and procedures.
• Perform outdoor work such as climbing ladders, traversing rooftops, installing equipment, replacing faulty components, upgrading masts/mounting brackets, installing guy wire, repairing/replacing cables, installing conduit in trenches, and relocating equipment.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to clients on product function, usage, and operation.
• Analyze data consistency, completeness, and accuracy to ensure system reliability.
• Develop and execute territory service plans according to strict timelines for optimal network operations.
• Schedule jobs, prepare inventory, and travel to sites.

Requirements

• Two years technical degree or 1-3 years’ experience installing mounting hardware, sensors, cables, masts, antennas, satellite dishes, or network equipment.
• Strong "can do" attitude and willingness to work under strict deadlines and harsh conditions with extended travel.
• Attention to detail and passion for data related to meteorology, environmental monitoring, flood warning, wildfire, and public safety.
• Proven operation of common hand and machine tools.
• Experience with construction skills: concrete foundation work, conduit, masonry, trenching, and general road construction.
• Proven operation of digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and electrical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of manual or automated environmental sensors and dataloggers used in hydrology, water quality, or meteorology.
• Understanding of DC circuits and basic circuitry analysis calculations.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Skill in troubleshooting RF, electronics, hardware configurations, telemetry, and meteorological sensors.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with RF Environments, cellular/satellite telemetry, or other data collection platforms preferred.
• Complex problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
• Time management skills to meet client and company needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and retention skills for accurate progress reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft® Windows® software products.
• Experience with ERP software systems, preferably NetSuite and/or Salesforce.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on uneven terrain.
• Physical ability to walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Willingness to work on and around water, lakes, rivers, and dams.
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
• Valid passport and driver’s license.
• Availability to work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Meteorology a plus.

Additional Information

This is a remote opportunity within the continental United States. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. F-1 visa holders with OPT, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $24.03 - $26.44 per hour. The salary information is a general guideline only, considering factors such as scope, experience, education, and market conditions.
