Job Title: Field Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Field Technician experienced in the mechanical installation and repair of asphalt plant equipment. The role involves participating in field installations, equipment repairs, and plant start-ups. You will work alongside other field team members, contractors, engineers, and area sales representatives. Responsibilities include piping, component repair, equipment take-down, and installation. Responsibilities Provide service and customer support during field installations and repairs.Comfortably perform welding and fitting tasks.Maintain the workload according to the promoted schedule.Manage all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.Produce timely and detailed service reports.Document processes, including timesheets.Follow all company and customer field procedures and protocols.Cooperate with labor crew and office personnel, sharing information across the organization.Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.Build positive relationships with customers.Train customers on the use and preventative maintenance requirements of new equipment.Work with other onsite contractors and have some familiarity with heavy equipment.Participate in customer meetings before, during, and after the job. Flexibility is needed for shift work and adapting to changing work schedules. Typical onsite workdays last 10-12 hours or more. This role offers opportunities to travel to various states and gain hands-on experience with complex equipment, building customer interfacing skills. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
