Field Support Technician
About the role
We help Texas homeowners take control of their energy use—upgrading comfort, cutting monthly costs, and adding lasting value with smart, efficient solutions. The Field Support Technician will travel to customer homes & survey the roof & gather electrical information to be used during the solar design process.
Responsibilities
- Travel to project sites to obtain the necessary information, including electrical data, to complete technical design documents for a solar system
- Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays, including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents, etc.)
- Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
- Conduct a physical site audit using a drone, auditing tools, including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
- Upload site audit documents and photos to a cloud server
- Maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle
- Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with our installations
- Interacting with homeowners if questions arise
Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish and English speaking preferred
- Must have an active and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work on the roof in a physically demanding role
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
Pay & Benefits
