About the role
This position is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, and will support several of our communities in the region. The Field Support Supervisor works as part of our Asset Management and Support team, providing technical and operational support to maintenance teams across multiple properties.
Responsibilities
- Visit WP properties frequently to understand their needs and be available for technical support onsite.
- Appreciate the challenges that maintenance teams face and identify solutions, including assisting in vendor management.
- Assist with the evaluation of products, equipment, and vendors.
- Facilitate the transition of projects from the Construction Group to property team oversight, including knowledge transfer and documentation.
- Work with managers and supervisors to manage property operations, including identifying needs and their relative priority, establishing work scope and requirements, vendor selection, evaluating proposals, and managing assigned projects through to completion.
- Support onsite teams by evaluating work projects and providing guidance and proper instruction.
- Actively encourage quality contractors and vendors to bid on projects.
- Review contractor and vendor proposals for scope of work and cost reasonableness.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a multi-family regional support role.
- 5+ years of experience in multi-family maintenance.
- EPA certified - Type I and II or Universal.
- Knowledge of work safety.
- Hands-on maintenance support experience.
- Experience in capital projects, such as exterior building repairs, construction knowledge, ability to read blueprints, identifying erosion repairs, water intrusion, and writing work requirements to address issues.
- Valid driver’s license.
