Field Support Services Engineer
About the role
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Field Support Services Engineer to provide technical support, systems troubleshooting, and customer assistance for mission-critical government systems. This role supports field operations by ensuring system reliability, resolving technical issues, and providing end-user training.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and system analysis for customers and field personnel.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networked systems.
- Diagnose and resolve system and network issues to maximize operational availability.
- Train customers on system operation, configuration, and best practices.
- Partner with engineering teams to identify root causes and reduce recurring incidents.
- Travel to customer sites to provide onsite technical support and system implementation.
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience:
- - Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with four or more years of related experience.
- - Experience supporting enterprise IT systems, hardware, software, or network environments.
- - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and customer service skills.
- - Ability to work flexible schedules and travel up to 50% (CONUS/OCONUS).
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
