Field Supervisor Unit 7C (Public Service Administrator, Opt. 6)

About the role

The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as a field supervisor. This individual will oversee a multidisciplinary team conducting surveys of long-term care facilities, including state licensure surveys, federal certification surveys, and complaint surveys.

Responsibilities

• Oversee long-term care facility survey activities.
• Serve as working supervisor.
• Conduct state licensure, federal certification, and complaint surveys of long-term care facilities.
• Develop long-term care facility survey schedules, review and process survey packages, and make recommendations to Central Office.
• Complete necessary surveyor training.
• Represent the Division through participation in meetings with LTC industry representatives, advocacy groups, and other interested parties as requested.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college. Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the fields of health or human services.

Qualifications

Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Medicare/Medicaid related programs. Three (3) or more years extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long term care facilities. Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience. Two (2) years of experience establishing, maintaining, and improving cooperative working relationships with various stakeholders. Two (2) years of experience drafting, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures. Two (2) years of experience communicating business with various agencies.

Skills

Required skills include knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long term care facilities, supervisory experience, and experience with Medicare/Medicaid related programs.

Pay

Anticipated Starting Salary (Effective 07/01/26): $8,571 MONTHLY; Full Range: $8,571 - $12,651 MONTHLY

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:00am-5:00/4:30pm (1/2 hour lunch)
