About the Role
Field Supervisors support Crew Leaders and Team Leaders in all matters related to production, fleet, quality control, and safety initiatives. This position reports to a Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control site inspections
- Train Crew Leaders in job sequencing and productivity
- Transfer fleet and equipment to and from the service center and satellite locations
- Organize, pick up, and deliver materials to Crew Leaders as needed
- Support Project Managers in all aspects of operations and job fulfillment
- Professionally represent East Coast Facilities, Inc. at all times
- Respond to client needs and ensure satisfaction
- Escalate client concerns to the Project Manager when necessary
- Maintain a positive, responsive, and flexible attitude with clients
- Inspect sites and advise Project Manager of potential liabilities
- Ensure Crew Leaders meet projected man-hour and materials budgets
- Assist with dispatching and ensure crews are fully equipped and fueled
- Assign tasks to crew members and follow up on completion
- Ensure crew members report to work on time and follow company rules
- Take disciplinary actions as necessary, involving the Project Manager when needed
- Train crew members in company safety policies
- Certify crews in assigned job tasks
- Cross-train Crew Leaders for future growth
- Evaluate crew performance and assist in performance reviews
- Monitor goals based on the evaluation process
- Maintain and promote safe working conditions
- Follow company procedures for safety violations
- Maintain a clean, neat, and professional image of service vehicles and trailers
- Ensure crew members maintain a professional image using approved uniforms
- Maintain all assigned equipment, tools, and vehicles in proper working order
- Follow proper maintenance and inventory schedules
- Complete administrative forms and procedures, including:
- Accident Reporting Forms
- Equipment Inventory Form
- Equipment Repair/Request
- MR - FEP - ACP (as applicable)
- Monthly Vehicle Safety Inspection
- Quality Control Inspection Form
- Irrigation IMR Form (as applicable)
- Trailer Safety Inspection Form (as applicable)
- Organize and implement work schedules
- Drive company vehicles as directed
- Operate various types of equipment and machinery
Requirements
- Journeyman in one or more of the following:
- Professional landscape maintenance operations
- Professional landscape construction services
- Landscape repairs, restoration, and remediation
- Licensed arbor care and tree trimming services
- Landscape irrigation repairs and maintenance
- Able to operate a smartphone, send and receive emails, and take digital photos
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English (Spanish fluency is a plus)
- Clean driver’s license
- Pass a drug test and criminal background check
- Comply with business ethics, applicable laws, and regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work near or in situations involving direct automotive traffic
- Work near natural bodies of water
- Use various types of work lifts
- Ability to work overtime or extended shifts as required
- Work in extreme conditions, including temperatures exceeding 95°F
- Work in direct sunlight for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
Pay
Pay is determined based on several factors, including:
- Years of proven experience for the role
- Knowledge and ability to operate equipment classes
- Special licensing (e.g., CDL, Pesticide Applicator’s License, Tree Trimming License, ISA Arborist Certification, Lift Certification)
- Tenure with East Coast Facilities, Inc.
