Field Superintendent, ARB
About the role
The Field Superintendent at Arbon Equipment, a Rite-Hite Company, oversees product installations in the Greater Roanoke, VA area. This role involves exceeding customer expectations, maximizing profitability, and working closely with both in-house staff and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee product installations and exceed customer expectations
- Maximize profitability on each project
- Work with both in-house staff and subcontractors
- Ensure all quality and safety standards are met on each project
- Coordinate product and equipment availability with the customer and installation teams
- Resolve any bottlenecks and escalate problems as necessary
- Focus on larger projects, working directly with general contractors and customers
- Be on-site frequently throughout the process
- Work with sales personnel to provide technical expertise
- Interface with the administrative support team to maximize efficiency and productivity
Requirements
- A 2-year degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or a similar combination of experience and education
- A degree in construction management and/or experience in managing commercial construction projects is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective multi-tasking and project management skills
- A good mechanical aptitude
- A commitment to a culture of safety and quality
- Availability for occasional overnight travel (10-20%)
Qualifications
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
