Field Specialist IV - Liner Hanger Systems

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Specialist IV to join the Liner Hanger Systems Team in Odessa, TX. This senior-level role supports liner hanger operations in the field, providing technical expertise and proactive client guidance during dynamic, fast-changing environments.

About the role

The Field Specialist IV plays a crucial role in executing field operations in accordance with operational plans, ensuring deliveries meet or exceed customer expectations. A strong knowledge of liner hanger tools, the well environment, and rig systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain liner hanger equipment in the field.
• Provide onsite support to customers during ongoing field operations.
• Assist in testing and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
• Prepare daily reports of field operations for ongoing liner hanger activities.
• Collaborate with the onshore operations team.
• Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency.
• Complete accurate and thorough job reports in a timely manner.
• Support onshore maintenance activities if required.
• Participate in all client and Weatherford safety systems during operations.
• Adapt to changing work environments and conditions.
• Perform basic problem-solving and troubleshooting as needed.
• Continue training to expand knowledge and experience of liner hanger operations and services.
• Comply with Weatherford Quality Policy, Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain 24-hour call status.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of liner hanger systems experience.
• High School diploma (minimum).
• Preferred: 2-year college degree.
• Good knowledge of oilfield equipment.
• Mechanical ability to perform repairs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently when required.
• Strong team player who collaborates closely with colleagues.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to be on-call 24/7.
