FIELD SPEC IV - ALS/Remote Troubleshooter
About the role
As a FIELD SPEC IV - ALS/Remote Troubleshooter, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality field services while supporting customer operations and business objectives. You will utilize your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and operational knowledge to execute service activities safely and efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role leverages adaptability and a customer-focused approach to support field operations, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure successful execution of service activities with the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to support operational objectives.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and co-workers to ensure successful service execution.
- Coordinate and dispatch service technicians to customer locations in support of operational and service requirements.
- Receive customer calls, respond to service inquiries, and accurately enter job requests into Job Center.
- Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues while identifying and implementing corrective actions.
- Support field operations by occasionally traveling to customer sites to assist with service calls, troubleshooting activities, and ESP commissioning as required.
- Execute field service activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Provide technical support and expertise during installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service operations.
- Adapt work methods and operational approaches to address changing field conditions and customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand operational needs and provide timely solutions.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional service delivery and responsiveness.
- Manage and maintain truck inventory to ensure equipment, tools, and materials are available to support service delivery activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful planning and execution of field activities.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, operational records, and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; a two-year Technical Degree is preferred.
- Relevant industry experience and product line training.
- Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly and alternate methods of task completion when required.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Ability to travel and support operational requirements as needed.
Schedule
This role may require travel, shift work, and schedule flexibility based on customer and operational requirements.
