Field Solutions Engineer - Public Sector

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Field Solutions Engineer - Public Sector to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will partner closely with account teams to assess customer environments and design tailored infrastructure solutions that support business and technical goals. The position blends technical pre-sales expertise, trusted advisory work, and cross-functional collaboration with OEMs, partners, and sales stakeholders. The ideal candidate will help drive new business across data center, cloud, network, security, and collaboration opportunities in the public sector.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account teams to assess customer data center environments
• Design tailored infrastructure solutions based on customer goals
• Build technical relationships with OEMs and partners
• Provide product training to sales teams and customers
• Act as a trusted IT advisor for clients
• Manage solution practice pipeline for new business
• Identify opportunities in data center, cloud, network, security, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience required
• 3-5 years in a similar role
• Intermediate experience in complex data center sales opportunities
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and infrastructure design
• Expertise in major technologies including Dell, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, and AWS

Pay

$160,000 – $220,000 annually
