About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Field Solutions Engineer, Enablement to join our Field Engineering team. This role is remote and reports into the Manager, Customer Enablement & Field Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and deliver structured training programs for new and existing customers across virtual and onsite formats
  • Create and maintain role-based learning paths and curriculum tailored to customer personas (e.g., design engineers, simulation analysts, team leads)
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions for new accounts, including structured learning plans, milestone check-ins, and progress reviews
  • Adapt training content to address varying skill levels—from introductory users to advanced practitioners working with FEA, CFD, and design automation workflows
  • Respond to ad hoc training requests and identify opportunities to deepen product adoption during customer engagements
  • Build and maintain a library of high-quality enablement assets including tutorials, how-to guides, workflow walkthroughs, video content, and self-service learning materials
  • Translate complex nTop capabilities into clear, accessible learning content appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Continuously update and refresh content in response to product releases, new features, and evolving best practices
  • Develop internal enablement materials to support onboarding of new Field Engineering team members
  • Partner with the Product team to stay current on the nTop roadmap, new feature releases, and updated messaging, ensuring all training materials reflect the most accurate and up-to-date information
  • Provide structured feedback loops from training engagements back to Product and Customer Success, surfacing common knowledge gaps, workflow friction points, and user needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing to align enablement strategy with go-to-market initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of external-facing content such as webinars, conference workshops, and product education campaigns

Required Experience

  • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 3–5 years of industrial experience
  • Hands-on experience in aerospace and defense, with a background in design, analysis, or product development on real engineering programs
  • Proficiency in parametric modeling and 3D CAD (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or Onshape)
  • Working knowledge of FEA and/or CFD tools (at least one of: Abaqus, Ansys, Fluent/CFX, Nastran, Star-CCM+, LS-Dyna)
  • Experience with scripting in Python or MATLAB for engineering workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences and with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience developing or delivering training, documentation, or educational content in a professional setting
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
  • Willing to travel to customer sites and conferences (up to 50%)
  • Excellent spoken and written English

It's a Plus If You Also Have These

  • Experience with nTop software
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role such as application engineering, field engineering, solutions engineering, or technical training
  • Experience developing and delivering formal training programs, workshops, or e-learning content
  • Exposure to design optimization, surrogate modeling, or AI/ML for inverse design applications
  • Security clearance
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to SaaS teams and GTM processes
  • Experience with content creation tools including video production, 3D modeling or animation software, and print/digital publishing
  • Conference presentations, technical workshops, or other industry-related public speaking experience

Compensation

Between $135,000 - $180,000 annually plus equity and benefits, depending on level and experience
