Field Services Technician II

About the role

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for cleaning and transporting Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Key duties include loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, inspecting equipment, hoses, and connections, and performing confined space entry. Additionally, the technician operates various equipment such as pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts, and power tools, with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive a commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo before and during transport.
• Use hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader, specialty vacuum equipment, and/or other equipment as needed.
• Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
• Complete critical path documentation: manifests, driver logs, job summary, permits, etc.
• Communicate with Project Manager and on-site customers.
• Work in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment.

Requirements

• Valid State Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of experience.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills. MS Outlook and Netsuite is a plus.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time, including overnight travel.
• Ability to use heavy, light, and handheld equipment (forklift, track hoe, backhoe, skid steer, etc.).
• Work environment - outside weather conditions, exposure to the noise level.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check, Motor Vehicle Report, and a review of previous employment and criminal history records.
• Pass the Respirator Fit Test.

Qualifications

Pay

The range for the primary location of this position is: $38,800.00 - $51,700.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
