Field Services Engineer
About the role
Weber Packaging Solutions is seeking a highly driven Field Service Engineer based in Illinois to support customers. This role is ideal for a true road warrior - someone who thrives on being in the field, enjoys travel and takes pride in delivering hands-on technical support directly at customer sites. Our top performers are mechanically inclined, technically skilled, and energized by a fast-paced, travel-intensive environment. This position requires a high level of independence, a strong customer-first mindset and the ability to stay organized and responsive while frequently on the road. Overnight travel is a core component of the role, averaging 3–4 nights per week.
This position offers a base salary plus quarterly bonus, along with a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Assignments will include traveling to planned, preventative, maintenance visits and installations of our label and print systems (industrial equipment).
- Managing all aspects of your assigned territory to include, but not limited to; responding to customer needs, establishing a rapport with assigned customer base, supporting customer training and events as required.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships, both internally and with customers.
Skills and Qualifications
- College or Technical degree or equivalent technical support experience.
- 1-3 years of experience as a field service technician or engineer, with background in service, print or packaging as a bonus.
- Proficient in MS Office, use of tablet, iPhone, laptop.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize work.
- Ability to lift equipment and components up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Pay
Annual salary for this position starts at $65,000.00. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
