Field Service Technician (Site Leads)

About the role
Integrated Solutions is adding Field Service Techs that will serve as Site Leads for our installation team. These positions will serve as the primary point of contact for the entire jobsite and be responsible for coordinating all crews, general contractors, customers, vendors, etc. The position requires heavy travel (80%+). The ideal candidate needs to have strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall site leadership for material handling installations and subcontracted project sites.
- Lead daily planning and coordination meetings and resolve issues impacting safety, quality, productivity, or schedule.
- Maintain accountability for overall site execution and project outcomes.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the installation lifecycle.
- Provide project status updates, schedule communication, and issue resolution.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and represent the organization in a professional manner.
- Own site-wide logistics including scheduling, labor coordination, material flow, equipment staging, deliveries, storage areas, and site access.
- Manage site administration, documentation, reporting, and compliance records.
- Coordinate activities between multiple trades to maximize productivity.
- Champion a safety-first culture. Serve in a train-the-trainer capacity for all required safety certifications and compliance programs.
- Ensure all internal and subcontracted personnel complete required training.
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, inspections, and investigations as needed.
- Lead, mentor, and develop field installers and subcontractor personnel. Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Work with the onsite team in assembling, moving, and installing sorting and conveyor system equipment, sub-assemblies, modules, and top-level machine systems, in accordance with engineering specifications and procedures.
- Properly test and confirm all features and functions perform as designed on the system as needed.
- Follow proper escalation policies and procedures.
- Assist with monitoring and test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
- Support the installation of equipment and verify function and conformance to specifications using various hand and power tools to accomplish tasks at each level.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience, 3+ years of site leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 80+% (travel, hotel, and per diem paid by the company).
- Strong knowledge of material handling systems and industrial safety.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
- Experience using computer, cell phone, email, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and machine drawings.
- Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for a US passport.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work a minimum of 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift, push, bend, and unload equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Work Environment
