Field Service Technician– Remote/Travel-Based

While prior technical experience is beneficial, it is not required. Candidates with experience in travel-intensive or field-based roles are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of CV Technology explosion mitigation systems
• Verify the functionality of the CV Technology protection system
• Provide familiarization training for plant personnel
• Deliver outstanding service to our clients
• Perform emergency services in the event of system activation
• Complete written reports for any site visit (commissioning, maintenance, or emergency service)
• Submit personal expenses and book travel accommodations
• Quote spare parts and/or services

Requirements

• 60% travel to customer locations throughout North America (normally 2-3 days per week) (required)
• Excellent customer relations skills; you are the ambassador of our company (required)
• Good communication skills (required)
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, expense reporting, and travel booking (required)
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Instrumentation and controls experience (preferred)
• Field service experience and/or mechanical experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and low-voltage wiring (preferred)
• 1-2 years of heavy travel role experience (highly preferred)

Work Environment

• Lift and carry a 50-pound load a distance of 20 feet
• Safely work inside or outside, at an elevated height from a ladder, man-lift, or platform
• Safely climb a 25-foot ladder (A-frame, extension, or fixed variety)
• Ability to safely work and/or stand on one's feet for an extended period
• Safely function in an industrial setting where manufacturing conditions exist
• Implement safety measures for diverse weather conditions (e.g., rain, snow, high winds) during outdoor assignments

Pay

$50,000 - $55,000 / year

Location

Remote (preferred locations: IA, FL, GA, KS, TX; will consider: AL, AZ, IL, MI, MN, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, VA, WI). Travel is approximately 60%, with opportunities for international travel.
