Field Service Technician (Remote/80% Travel)

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, perform safety inspections and training on all Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment and components.
• Install, integrate, test and train customers on specialized systems including robotic programming, interfacing and vacuum systems.
• Test, analyze, and adjust precision electromechanical instruments.
• Maintain and adjust electrical and mechanical components utilized with the Oerlikon Metco thermal spray equipment.
• Calibrate and adjust components and instruments in accordance with established ISO / Oerlikon Metco engineered standards.
• Complete calibration reports in accordance to ISO certifications.
• Complete service reports indicating cause and resolution of problems encountered.
• Complete daily time sheets and expense reports.
• Complete customer telephone technical reports.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of technical field service (electro-mechanical) experience with Thermal spray experience.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to field service and customer service support responsibilities.
• Requires Associates degree education, bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent communications skills, excellent customer relations.
• Must be able to travel 80%, which includes domestic and international assignments.
• Vacuum system experience helpful.

Qualifications

Your profile should include:

• A minimum of 3 years of technical field service (electro-mechanical) experience with Thermal spray experience.
• A degree in a relevant field, preferably an Associates degree with a Bachelor’s degree being advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to travel up to 80% of the time, including domestic and international assignments.
• Experience with vacuum systems is beneficial but not required.
